"Scott you are more than welcome to use photos or show customers the putting green at my residence, as well as my ranch. As a matter of fact, I would welcome any referrals as to your work, or it's finished construction." -- Rob Arnot, Breckenridge, Texas
Artificial putting greens not only improve your game they make a great addition to a backyard as well. Our artificial turf golf greens provide a consistent surface that is smooth and can be designed to fit any area. If you have been dreaming of bringing golf home so you have more access to golf right in your backyard then let us help make that dream a reality with one of our custom designed putting greens.
The construction for a residential backyard putting green consists of removing the existing sod and adjusting the sprinklers to start. Then bringing in the base materials needed to create a quality base that is sturdy, smooth and designed with realistic breaks. Cup placement is important so you have a second shot is a putt is long. We see new installers putting greens all the time that have cups placed too close to the fringe. Having an artificial putting green at home helps improve your touch and allows golfers to control the speeds of their putts. One expert says that a putt should maintain good speed and line to the cup with an average of 17" past the cup if you miss. If a cup is installed too close to the fringe you take away the second putt.
The shape and size of a synthetic golf green restricted to the shape of the yard and the to have budget. We can design a great putting green whether it's in a small space or large lot. The goal is to get more time practicing golf. We want to get smooth breaks on a putting green and have a straight level practice. If the area allows then having chipping areas around the green and maybe a grass or sand bunker is a great option. The surface turf is nylon with sand infill that remains consistent with little to no maintenance. This is a huge benefit over the old style poly sand filled putting greens that require ongoing maintenance to maintain their consistency. The challenge I hear is having the maintenance performed years after the install is complete. The companies that install those style greens usually won't come back to perform the maintenance, we have customers call us every year looking to have their golf greens serviced, the original installer is either out of business or won't return their calls for the maintenance required.
